Scientific Breakthroughs in
Battery-Electric Aviation Design

The foundation of these advancements are backed by two scientific studies. "A New Perspective on Battery-Electric Aviation, Part I" presents parametric designs that redefine electric aviation's potential, demonstrating the ability to fly further distances with more passengers than previously assumed.

The second paper, "A New Perspective on Battery-Electric Aviation, Part II: Conceptual Design of a 90-Seater," provides an in-depth look at the E9X, showcasing its innovative features and capabilities, including unique low wing configuration with integrated battery system and folding wingtips.

Reimagining the Potential of Battery-Electric Flight

Once seen as suitable only for smaller aircraft on shorter routes, the E9X repositions battery-electric aviation as a scalable, eco-friendly, and economically viable alternative to conventional aviation technologies.

Pioneering Efficiency and Sustainability

The E9X design can achieve up to five times higher efficiency per passenger kilometer than hydrogen or Sustainable Aviation Fuel-powered planes (SAF), rivaling the energy efficiency of electric cars. Further development in battery technology will allow the aircraft to fly 1000 km, allowing it to tackle 50% of all passenger flights worldwide This can potentially reduce the aviation sector’s CO2 emissions by 20%, significantly lessening the environmental and societal impact of air travel.
